Car
If you are traveling by car from the Haa Valley, head towards the town of Haa and take the road towards Paro. Continue on this road until you reach the junction near Chuzom where you will take the right fork towards Thimphu. After approximately 30 km, you will see a sign for Simtokha Dzong on your left. Turn left onto Je Bamo Lam SE and continue for about 4 km until you reach the dzong. Parking is available nearby.

From Haa Valley, you can take a local bus or shared taxi heading to Thimphu. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the junction to Simtokha Dzong. The fare for a bus is usually around 50-100 Ngultrum. After getting off, walk approximately 4 km along Je Bamo Lam SE to reach Simtokha Dzong. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from Haa Valley directly to Simtokha Dzong, which may cost around 500-800 Ngultrum depending on the negotiation with the driver.
