Car
From any location in Haa Valley, head towards the nearest main road leading to Paro. Follow the signs for Paro until you reach the junction at Chuzom, where you will take a left turn. Continue on this road for approximately 30 km until you reach the Taktsang Monastery parking lot. Here, you will have to park your vehicle. Note that parking fees may apply, typically around 100 Nu.
Hiking
After parking your car, you will need to start your hike to the Tiger's Nest View Point. The hike begins at the Taktsang Monastery parking lot. Follow the marked trail, which is well-maintained but can be steep in certain areas. The hike to the viewpoint takes about 2 to 3 hours, depending on your pace. Be sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes and carry water and snacks.
Public Transportation
If you prefer not to drive, you can take a local bus from Haa Valley to Paro. Buses run regularly throughout the day. Ask the bus driver to drop you off at Chuzom. From there, you will need to hire a taxi or a local guide to take you to the Taktsang Monastery parking lot. Taxi fares can vary, so agree on a price before starting your journey. Expect to pay around 500-700 Nu for the taxi ride.
Guided Tour
Consider joining a guided tour that includes transportation from Haa Valley to the Taktsang Monastery. Many local tour operators offer packages that cover transportation, guide services, and entrance fees. Prices can range from 2000 to 5000 Nu per person, depending on the inclusions and the size of the group.
