Getting There

Walking
From the Jakar Dzong, head north towards the main road. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach a junction. Take a left at the junction onto the road leading towards the Jakar market. Walk for about 300 meters, and you will see the Jakar Village Lodge on your right, just before the entrance to the local school.

Starting from the Jakar Town square, walk towards the Jakar Monastery. After visiting the monastery, exit the grounds and turn left. Follow the path down the hill, which will lead you to the main road. Once on the main road, turn right and walk for about 1 km until you reach the lodge, which will be on your left side.

If you are near the local market area, exit the market and head towards the main road (Thimphu-Jakar Highway). Turn left and follow the road for about 1.5 km. The Jakar Village Lodge will be located on the right side, just past a small stream.
