Getting There

If you are starting from the Jakar Dzong, exit the Dzong and head southwest along the main road. Continue walking for about 10 minutes until you reach the junction near the local market. At the junction, turn left onto a smaller road heading towards the hills. After walking for another 5 minutes, you will see a sign directing you to Jamphel Lhakhang. Follow this road for about 15 minutes until you arrive at the temple, which is perched on a small hill.

From the Jakar town center, head towards the Jakar Monastery located on a small hill. As you walk, keep an eye out for locals who can provide you with directions. After about a 20-minute walk, you will find yourself at the base of the temple. Climb the small set of stairs leading up to Jamphel Lhakhang, which is visible from a distance due to its distinctive architecture.
