Getting There

Walking
From the center of Jakar, start at the Jakar Dzong, which is easily recognizable. Walk down the main road heading east towards the river. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with the road leading up to Kurjey Lhakhang. At this fork, take the left path that leads up the hill. The walk will take you through beautiful landscapes and rural Bhutanese villages. After about 30 minutes of walking, you will see a sign that points to Kurjey Lhakhang. The temple is located about 200 meters further up the path. Follow this path, and you will find the entrance to Kurjey Lhakhang.

Bicycle
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle in Jakar. Start from the Jakar Dzong and head east along the main road. After about 1 kilometer, take the left at the fork that leads to Kurjey Lhakhang. The road is mostly uphill, so be prepared for a bit of a climb. Enjoy the scenic views along the way. After approximately 30 minutes of biking, you will reach the entrance to Kurjey Lhakhang. Make sure to park your bicycle at the designated area before entering the temple.
