Getting There

Walking
From the center of Jakar, start at the Jakar Dzong. Head west along the main road towards the Bumthang - Ura Highway. Continue walking for about 20 minutes until you reach the junction where the highway splits. At the junction, take the right fork towards Trongsa. Walk for another 15 minutes, and you will see Taa-Dzong on your left. Look for the entrance that leads into the heritage site.

If you are near the Jakar Market, exit the market area and head towards the main road. Turn left onto the Bumthang - Ura Highway. Follow the highway for approximately 30 minutes, keeping an eye out for the Taa-Dzong signage. It will be on your left side as you approach the outskirts of Jakar.

From the Jakar Monastery, make your way down the hill towards the main road. Once you reach the road, turn right and walk along the Bumthang - Ura Highway. After about 25 minutes of walking, you will reach Taa-Dzong, which will be visible on your left.
