Walking
From Mongar town center, start at the main bus station. Head towards the east along the Manla Road. Continue walking straight for approximately 2 kilometers. You will pass a few local shops and houses along the way. Keep an eye out for the sign pointing towards Trashiyangtse. As you approach Trashiyangtse, you will need to cross a small bridge over the Drangme Chu River. After crossing the bridge, continue on Manla Road for another 1.5 kilometers. Gongza Ney will be located on your left side, near the entrance to the area, marked by a small pathway leading up to the temple.
Hiking
If you prefer a more scenic route, instead of walking directly on Manla Road, you can take a hiking trail that begins about 1 kilometer from the bus station. Look for a path leading up the hillside. This trail is a bit steep but offers beautiful views of the valley. After about 30 minutes of hiking, you will connect back with Manla Road. From there, follow the above directions to reach Gongza Ney.
