Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Paro town and head east on the Paro-Thimphu Highway (NH2). After about 10 km, look for signs directing you to Paro Taktsang. You will arrive at the base of the hike after parking in the designated area near the Taktsang Monastery entrance. The parking fee is usually around 50 Nu.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a local bus or taxi from Paro town to the base of Paro Taktsang. Buses leave from the main bus station in Paro and typically cost around 30 Nu. Taxis are more convenient but will cost approximately 500-700 Nu. Once you reach the base, you will need to purchase a ticket to hike to the monastery, which costs around 1,000 Nu.
Hiking
After parking your vehicle or getting dropped off, you will need to hike to reach Paro Taktsang. The trail is well-marked and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to ascend. Start your hike from the base area, and follow the path that leads up the mountain. There are several viewpoints along the way where you can stop to rest and take photos of the stunning landscape.
