Car
If you are driving from Paro Valley to Phobjikha Valley, start on the Paro-Thimphu Highway (National Highway 2). Follow the signs for Thimphu and drive approximately 30 kilometers until you reach a junction. Take the left fork towards Wangdue Phodrang, which is about 60 kilometers away. Continue on this road for another 40 kilometers until you see signs for Phobjikha Valley. Turn left and follow the road for about 16 kilometers to reach your destination. The total drive takes approximately 2-3 hours, depending on road conditions.
Public Transportation
To reach Phobjikha Valley using public transportation, take a local bus from Paro to Thimphu first. The bus terminal is located near the Paro Dzong. Buses to Thimphu run every hour and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Thimphu, transfer to a bus heading to Wangdue Phodrang (another 2 hours). From Wangdue, you can find shared taxis or local buses that go directly to Phobjikha Valley, which is about 16 kilometers away. Be prepared for possible waiting times for the next available bus or taxi. The total travel time may take around 4-5 hours, including transfers.

For a more convenient option, you can hire a taxi from Paro Valley to Phobjikha Valley. Negotiate a fare with the driver before starting the journey. The cost may range from 500 to 800 Ngultrum, depending on your negotiation skills and the driver's discretion. The journey will take about 2-3 hours, and you can enjoy the scenic views along the way.
