Car
If you are driving from the town of Paro, head towards the National Museum of Bhutan (Ta Dzong). From there, take the road that leads up to the Zuri Dzong. The drive is approximately 15 minutes and will take you through beautiful scenery. There is limited parking available near the entrance.
Taxi
For a convenient option, you can hire a taxi from Paro town. Simply ask the driver to take you to Zuri Dzong. The journey should take around 15 minutes and will cost you approximately 300-500 Ngultrum depending on your negotiation skills and the taxi service.
Hiking
For adventurous travelers, consider hiking to Zuri Dzong. From Paro, start at the National Museum and follow the well-marked trail that leads to the Dzong. The hike is about 1.5 kilometers and takes around 30-45 minutes. Enjoy the stunning views of the Paro Valley as you ascend.
Public Transportation
Public transportation options may be limited. However, you can take a local bus from Paro town heading towards the airport or Drukgyel Dzong and ask the driver to drop you off near the trailhead for Zuri Dzong. After that, you will need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach the Dzong. It’s advisable to check the bus schedule, as they may not run frequently.
