Car
From Pemagatshel, head towards the main highway (National Highway 2) and follow the signs towards Trashigang. Continue driving for approximately 2 hours until you reach the junction for Lungchutse Goemba. Look for the signpost indicating the turnoff. Once you turn off the highway, follow the narrow road which leads directly towards the monastery. The road might be bumpy, so drive carefully. Parking is available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
In Pemagatshel, locate the bus terminal and look for a bus heading towards Trashigang. Ensure to inform the bus driver that you need to stop at the junction for Lungchutse Goemba. The bus ride will take about 2 hours. Once you arrive at the junction, you may need to hire a local taxi or walk along the narrow road towards the monastery for about 30-45 minutes. Note that hiring a local taxi may incur additional costs, generally around 300-500 Ngultrum, depending on negotiation.
Hiking
If you are adventurous and enjoy hiking, you can trek from the nearby Dochula Pass, which is about 2 hours away from Lungchutse Goemba. However, this route requires good physical fitness and preparation, as the terrain can be challenging. Make sure to carry enough water and snacks. The views along the way are spectacular, but ensure you have a map or a local guide to help you navigate.
