Getting There

Walking

From the center of Punakha, head east towards the Punakha suspension bridge. As you walk, enjoy the beautiful views of the river. Take a left at the fork, and follow the road for approximately 15-20 minutes. You will pass by local shops and small eateries along the way. Tashichho Dzong will be on your left side, just after you pass a small park area.

If you have rented a bicycle in Punakha, start from the main market area. Head towards the Punakha suspension bridge and cross it. After crossing the bridge, take a left at the fork in the road. Continue straight on this road for about 20 minutes. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Tashichho Dzong; they will help you stay on the right path. The Dzong will be on your left as you approach.
Local Bus

To reach Tashichho Dzong via local bus, first make your way to the nearest bus stop in Punakha, typically found near the main market. Look for a bus heading towards Thimphu.
