Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, begin your journey in the town of Sarpang. Head east on the Sarpang-Tashigang Road (also known as the Trashigang-Semtokha Hwy). Continue driving for approximately 80 kilometers, and you will see signs for Chendebji Chorten. The chorten is located just off the main road, and you can park your vehicle nearby. The road is well-maintained but be prepared for some winding sections as you approach the site.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can catch a bus from Sarpang to Trashigang. Buses frequently depart from the Sarpang bus station. The journey typically takes around 2-3 hours depending on road conditions. Once you arrive in Trashigang, you will need to find a local taxi or shared taxi that can take you to Chendebji Chorten. The taxi ride will take about 30 minutes and costs approximately 500-700 Ngultrum (BTN). Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey, as prices can vary.

• Walking

  If you are nearby and prefer to walk, Chendebji Chorten is accessible via walking trails from surrounding areas. However, this option is best suited for those who are already in the vicinity of the chorten, as it requires significant time and effort. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry sufficient water, as the trails can be steep and uneven.
