Car
From Thimphu, drive towards Paro on the NH-2 highway. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers. Follow the signs that indicate 'Drugyel Dzong' as you approach Paro. Once you reach the village of Chuyul, turn left onto the access road leading to Drugyel Dzong. The dzong is situated on a hilltop, and you will see it in the distance. Follow the winding road uphill until you reach the parking area near the entrance.
Public Transportation
Take a bus or shared taxi from Thimphu to Paro. Buses to Paro leave from the main bus station in Thimphu. Once you arrive in Paro, look for a local taxi or ask locals for directions to Drugyel Dzong. The dzong is about 14 kilometers from the Paro town center. If you opt for a local taxi, simply tell the driver 'Drugyel Dzong,' and they will take you directly there. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.
