Walking
From the center of Thimphu, head towards the Clock Tower Square. Once you reach the square, look for the road leading to the Tashichho Dzong. Walk along this road until you reach the junction with the road leading to Paro. At the junction, turn left onto the Paro road. Continue walking straight for about 30 minutes. You will see signs for Drugyel Dzong along the way. As you get closer, the Dzong will be visible on the hilltop. Follow the signs, and after approximately 10 more minutes of walking, you will arrive at Drugyel Dzong.
Local Bus
Start at the main bus station in Thimphu, located near the Clock Tower Square. Look for a bus heading to Paro; these buses run frequently. Ask the conductor to drop you off at Drugyel Dzong. The bus journey will take around 45 minutes. Once you get off, you may need to walk a short distance uphill to reach the entrance of Drugyel Dzong.
Taxi
Find a taxi at the designated taxi stand near the Clock Tower Square in Thimphu. Inform the driver that you would like to go to Drugyel Dzong in Paro. The drive will take approximately 30 minutes, and you can enjoy the scenic views along the way. The driver will drop you off at the entrance of Drugyel Dzong.
