Car
If you are driving from Tsirang town, head northeast on the main road towards the Motithang area. Continue on the road for approximately 10 kilometers. Look for signs indicating the Royal Takin Preserve, which is located at the address FJJ6+PH3. There is a parking area available for visitors.
Public Transportation
To reach the Royal Takin Preserve using public transportation, take a local bus or a shared taxi from Tsirang town heading towards the Motithang area. The fare for a bus ride is generally around Nu. 50 per person, while shared taxis may cost Nu. 200 per person. Inform the driver you are heading to the Royal Takin Preserve, and they will drop you off at the nearest point. From there, it is a short walk to the entrance of the preserve.
Walking
If you are already in the Motithang area and prefer to walk, follow the main road leading to the preserve. It is approximately a 30-minute walk from the center of Motithang. Take in the local scenery as you make your way to the entrance of the Royal Takin Preserve.
