Car
From Tsirang, head towards the east on the main road, following the signs to Trongsa. The distance is approximately 80 km and will take about 2.5 to 3 hours by car. You will pass through several small towns and beautiful landscapes. Make sure to follow the road signs to Trongsa Dzong and keep an eye out for the scenic viewpoints along the way. Upon reaching Trongsa, follow the road leading to the Dzong, which is located at 'FGX3+VXG, Trongsa'. There is no parking fee, but ensure to park in designated areas.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from the Tsirang Bus Station heading to Trongsa. Buses operate regularly but check the schedule beforehand as it may vary. The journey takes around 3 to 4 hours, and the fare is typically between 150 to 250 BTN (Bhutanese Ngultrum). Upon arriving in Trongsa, you can hire a local taxi or walk to Trongsa Dzong, which is approximately 1 km from the bus drop-off point. The local taxis usually charge around 100 BTN for the short ride.
