From the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong, start walking down towards the main street. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the Wangdue River. Here, you will find a small path that leads into the forest; this path is marked with local signs. Follow this path for about 30 minutes, enjoying the scenic views of the surrounding hills and river. After roughly 30 minutes, you will come across a fork in the path. Take the left fork which leads you deeper into the forest. Continue on this path for another 45 minutes, and you should start hearing the sound of rushing water. Keep an eye out for trail markers and local guides who may be hiking in the area. Eventually, the trail will lead you directly to Bubja Waterfall.
