Start at Wangdue Phodrang Dzong, which is a prominent landmark in the area. From the Dzong, walk towards the main road (the Wangdue-Punakha Highway) and head south. As you walk along the road, keep an eye out for the Chimi Lhakhang signboards. After about 15-20 minutes of walking, you will reach the junction where you need to turn left onto a smaller path leading to Chimi Lhakhang. Continue along this path for about 20-30 minutes, enjoying the beautiful surroundings, until you arrive at the temple.
