Start at Wangdue Phodrang Dzong, which is a prominent landmark in the area. From the Dzong, walk towards the main road (the Wangdue-Punakha Highway) and head south. After about 15-20 minutes of walking, you will reach the junction where you need to turn left onto a smaller path leading to Chimi Lhakhang. Continue along this path for about 20-30 minutes, enjoying the beautiful surroundings, until you arrive at the temple.

Alternatively, if you are near the Wangdue market area, start at the market and head towards the south side of the market, where you will find the road leading to Chimi Lhakhang. Follow this road for approximately 30-40 minutes. You'll pass through some picturesque villages and fields. Look for directional signs that will guide you to the temple. Once you see the temple's distinctive architecture, you are close to your destination.
