Getting There

Walking
From the center of Wangdue Phodrang, head towards the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong. Once you reach the Dzong, continue straight on the main road that leads to Punakha. Walk along the road for approximately 8 kilometers. You will pass through a few small villages, so be sure to enjoy the local scenery. After about 8 kilometers, you will reach the Dochula Pass. Look for the signs indicating Dochula, and you will see the famous 108 Chortens (stupas) as you approach.

If you choose to bike from Wangdue Phodrang to Dochula, start at the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong and follow the main road towards Punakha. The route is approximately 8 kilometers and is mostly downhill, making it a pleasant ride. Be cautious of traffic and keep an eye out for local wildlife. As you approach Dochula, you will see the 108 Chortens to your left, marking your arrival at the pass.
