Walking
From the center of Wangdue Phodrang, walk towards the main road (Wangdue Phodrang to Thimphu highway). Head north along this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction. At the junction, take the left path that leads towards Paro. Continue walking on this road for approximately 8 kilometers until you reach the Paro district. You will see signs for Drakarpo along the way. Keep following the road until you reach the next junction, then take the right turn towards Drakarpo. Follow this road for about 2 kilometers until you arrive at the Drakarpo site.
Hiking
Starting from Wangdue Phodrang, follow the same path to the main road heading towards Thimphu. Instead of walking along the highway, take the trails that run parallel to the road, which are marked. This scenic route will take you through lush landscapes and local villages. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will intercept the main road again. Turn right and continue for another 2 kilometers towards Drakarpo. This hiking route may take longer but offers a more immersive experience with nature.
