From the center of Wangdue Phodrang, start your hike towards Phobjikha Valley. Head south on the main road towards Nobding for approximately 15 kilometers. The monastery is located about 3 kilometers from Nubding, accessible via a well-marked hiking path. The total hike will take around 4 to 5 hours, depending on your pace. From Wangdue Phodrang, locate the local bus station or shared taxi stand. Take a bus or shared taxi heading towards Phobjikha Valley. The ride will take about 1 hour. Once you reach Nubding, get off at the main stop. From there, you can either hike the remaining 3 kilometers to Gangtey Monastery or ask locals for guidance on a shorter path if available.
