Walking
Start from the center of Wangdue Phodrang town. Head east on the main road towards the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong. Once you reach the Dzong, continue straight past the entrance towards the bridge over the Punatsangchhu River. Cross the bridge and follow the road along the riverbank until you reach the fork. Take the left fork that leads towards Phobjikha Valley. Continue walking along this road, which will take you through beautiful scenery. After approximately 8 kilometers, you will reach Dungdungneysa. From there, follow the signposts leading to Khewang Lhakhang, which is about 1 kilometer further. The temple will be on your right side.

For those seeking a more adventurous route, you can take the hiking trail that begins near the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong. Look for the path that leads into the hills; this trail will bring you through lush forests and offer stunning views of the valley below. Follow the trail for about 5 kilometers, and it will eventually lead you down towards Phobjikha Valley. Once you reach the valley floor, head towards Dungdungneysa and look for signs directing you to Khewang Lhakhang, which is a short distance from there. This route is ideal for nature lovers and provides a more immersive experience.
