From Wangdue Phodrang, start your journey by heading towards Punakha. Follow the road signs directing you to Punakha. After approximately 12 kilometers, you will reach the junction where you take the turn towards Giala. Continue on this path for about 5 kilometers until you reach a small village. Here, ask locals for directions to Khotokha Ramsar, as it is a popular spot in the area. The path will lead you through beautiful landscapes, with the last stretch being a hike through the forest. Look for markers or signs indicating Khotokha Ramsar.

Walking
If you find yourself in the town center of Wangdue Phodrang, start by walking towards the Wangdue Dzong. From there, locate the footpath leading to the Punakha Highway. Once on the highway, keep walking in the direction of Punakha. After about 12 kilometers, you will come to a fork in the road; take the left path towards Giala. This will lead you through scenic villages. Continue straight for about 5 kilometers, and you will soon start to see signs pointing to Khotokha Ramsar. Follow these signs to reach your destination.
