From Wangdue Phodrang town center, head towards the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong. Once you reach the Dzong, look for the path that leads down to the river. Follow the path downhill until you reach the riverbank. You should see signs pointing towards the Punakha Suspension Bridge. Cross the river via the path and proceed along the riverbank until you see the bridge. It is approximately a 30-40 minute walk from the town center, following the scenic riverside trail.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Wangdue Phodrang. Start your journey by cycling towards the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong. From the Dzong, take the road leading downhill towards the river.
