Walking
To reach Simtokha Dzong from Wangdue Phodrang, start at the Wangdue Phodrang Dzong, which is a central landmark. Head northeast on the main road towards the town center. Continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection at the main traffic circle. From the traffic circle, take the exit toward Semtokha. After about 3 kilometers, you will see signs for Simtokha Dzong. Follow the signs, and the Dzong will be on your left after approximately 1 kilometer. The walk should take around 30-40 minutes.

If you have a bicycle, you can follow the same route as the walking directions. Start at Wangdue Phodrang Dzong and ride northeast towards the town center. Continue on the main road, passing through the traffic circle and taking the exit toward Semtokha. Ride for about 3 kilometers, following the signs for Simtokha Dzong.
