If you are traveling by car within Western Bhutan, you will want to head towards the town of Phuentsholing, which is the nearest major town. From Phuentsholing, take the NH 27 towards Buxa Hill. After about 30 kilometers, you will reach the entrance to the Buxa Hill Forest area. Follow the signs to Buxa View Point. The last stretch is approximately 5 kilometers of uphill road, so ensure your vehicle is in good condition for the climb. Parking is available near the viewpoint.

To use public transportation, begin your journey from towns such as Thimphu or Paro to Phuentsholing. Buses are available and can be boarded from the main bus terminals. Upon reaching Phuentsholing, you will need to hire a taxi or join a shared taxi to Buxa Hill. Taxis can be found near the bus station, and it is approximately a 45-minute ride to the Buxa Hill Forest area. Be prepared for some negotiation on fare. Once you arrive at the base of the hill, you may need to walk the remaining 5 kilometers to the Buxa View Point, as public transport may not take you all the way up.
