Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey from the town of Jakar in Bumthang district. Head northwest on the Jakar-Tang road (NH 2) for about 25 km. Look for a sign indicating Tang Gewog. After approximately 10 km, you will come across a fork; take the left road towards Mebartsho. Continue on this road for another 5 km until you reach Mebartsho. There is parking available near the site.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Jakar to Tang Gewog. Buses run regularly throughout the day. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you reach the Tang Gewog bus stop, you can either walk (approximately 30 minutes) or hire a local taxi to take you directly to Mebartsho, which will cost around 200-300 Ngultrum.
Walking
For those who enjoy hiking, if you arrive at Tang Gewog either by bus or car, you can opt to walk the remaining distance to Mebartsho. The trail is well-marked and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. It takes approximately 30 minutes to walk to the site, allowing for a leisurely pace to enjoy the scenery.
