You'll need to pass through the border checkpoint at Phuentsholing, where you may need to show your travel documents. After crossing into India, continue on the Totopara Road for approximately 15 km until you reach Totopara Mining. Please note that this route involves crossing an international border, so keep your passport and any necessary visas ready.
Public Transportation
From Thimphu, take a bus or shared taxi to Phuentsholing, which is the nearest major town. The journey takes about 6-8 hours. Once you arrive in Phuentsholing, you can catch a local bus or a shared taxi to Samtse. After reaching Samtse, you will need to hire an auto-rickshaw or a taxi to take you to the border crossing at Totopara. Once across the border, continue on Totopara Road to reach your destination.
