Car
If you're driving, start from the center of Uyuni. Head southwest on Avenida Ferroviaria towards Calle 10 de Noviembre. After about 1.5 kilometers, turn left onto G596. Continue on G596 for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach the Train Cemetery, which will be on your right. Look for the large rusted locomotives – it's hard to miss!
Public Transportation (Bus)
From the main bus terminal in Uyuni, you can catch a local bus heading towards the Train Cemetery. Buses leave frequently, and the fare is usually around 5 BOB (Bolivian Bolivianos). Inform the driver that you're going to the Train Cemetery (Cementerio de Trenes) to ensure you get off at the right stop. The bus ride will take about 15-20 minutes.
Walking from Uyuni
If you're feeling adventurous and want to walk, you can start from the main square in Uyuni. Head southwest towards Avenida Ferroviaria, and follow the same route as if you were driving. The distance is about 4 kilometers, which will take roughly 45 minutes to 1 hour on foot. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water!
Taxi
Taxis are available throughout Uyuni. You can easily find one near the main square. Agree on a fare beforehand; a typical ride to the Train Cemetery should cost around 20-30 BOB. The drive will take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
