Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Plaza Murillo, head southwest toward Calle Potosí. Walk down Calle Potosí until you reach the intersection with Avenida 16 de Julio. Turn left onto Avenida 16 de Julio and walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Calle 21 de Calacoto. Here, you can catch a micro (minibus) going towards Calacoto. Board the micro and alight at the stop closest to the Mirador Virgen Blanca (ask the driver to let you know when you are close). From the drop-off point, it’s a short 5-minute walk uphill to the Mirador Virgen Blanca.

  • Public Transport

    Begin at the main bus terminal in La Paz (Terminal de Buses). From there, take a taxi or a trufi (shared taxi) to Plaza San Francisco. At Plaza San Francisco, look for the micros heading towards Calacoto. You can catch one of these micros and pay the fare when you board. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop for Mirador Virgen Blanca. After you get off, walk approximately 10 minutes uphill to reach the observation deck.

  • Taxi

    From any central location in La Paz, such as Plaza Murillo or the Witches' Market, you can take a taxi directly to Mirador Virgen Blanca. Simply tell the driver 'Mirador Virgen Blanca' and confirm the fare before starting your journey. The taxi will take you as close as possible to the observation deck. Be prepared to walk a short distance uphill after the taxi drops you off.
