Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Tarija. Head east on Avenida 6 de Agosto until you reach Avenida Sucre. Turn left onto Sucre and continue for approximately 2 kilometers. You will see signs for Coimata as you approach the area, which is located at Sucre 242. Parking is available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Coimata using public transportation, go to the main bus terminal in Tarija. Look for buses heading towards the outskirts of the city and ask for one that goes to Coimata. The fare should be around 3-5 BOB (Bolivian Bolivianos). Once you arrive at the Coimata stop, walk about 500 meters to Sucre 242 where the nature preserve is located.
Taxi
You can also take a taxi directly to Coimata. Taxis are readily available in Tarija and you can negotiate the fare beforehand. Expect to pay between 15-20 BOB for a taxi ride from the city center to Sucre 242. Ensure that the taxi driver knows your destination to avoid any confusion.
