If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Bjelasnica Mountain. Head southeast on the main road, following signs for the ski resort. Continue on this road for approximately 10-15 minutes until you see a sign for 'Katun peak.' Turn onto the dirt road leading to the peak. The road may be rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Park at the designated area near the trailhead.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a local bus from Sarajevo to Bjelasnica Mountain. The bus departs from the main bus station in Sarajevo. Once you arrive at the Bjelasnica bus stop, you can either walk towards the ski resort or take a taxi to the trailhead for Katun peak. The taxi ride should cost around 10-15 BAM (Bosnian marks). From the ski resort, follow the marked trails leading to Katun peak, which is approximately a 1.5 to 2-hour hike.

Once you reach the trailhead, you will find signposts indicating the path to Katun peak. The hiking trail is well-marked, but it is advisable to have a map or GPS device. The hike involves a moderate ascent, and it is recommended to wear sturdy hiking boots and carry water and snacks.
