    From Sarajevo, the quickest way to reach Umoljani is by car. The drive takes approximately 54 minutes covering a distance of 36km. Head towards Bjelašnica Ski Resort on Babin Do, continue past the hotel, and follow signs for Šabići village. Pass Šabići, cross the bridge over the Rakitnica River, and turn right up the mountain towards Umoljani. Drive through the village, turning left before the water tap in the center, then another left towards the local cemetery. The mosque will be on your right. Parking is available near the mosque.

The Umoljani mosque is notable for its architectural style, seamlessly integrated into its natural surroundings. What makes this mosque particularly special is the integration of stećci into its very foundation; five tombstones are visibly embedded in the mosque's base, a testament to the area's layered history. Local legend suggests that the Sarajevo Haggadah, a priceless illuminated manuscript, was hidden within the mosque's foundations during World War II. The mosque also features a stone minaret. Around the mosque, an old cemetery adds to the serene atmosphere. The village of Umoljani itself is known for its traditional stone houses and stunning views, serving as a gateway to natural landmarks such as Studeni Potok stream, Rakitnica Canyon, and Obalj Mountain. The Dolovi necropolis, with its 47 tombstones, is located roughly 1.5km south of the village. Many of the tombstones are adorned with realistic and symbolic motifs.
