From the city center (Baščaršija), head west along Zmaja od Bosne Street (also known as Sniper Alley during the war). The museum is approximately 3 km away, a 30-40 minute walk. Look for the complex of four interconnected buildings set back from the street. No costs involved.

From Baščaršija, take any tram line and disembark at the 'Tehnička škola' stop. The National Museum is a short walk from the tram stop. Tram tickets can be purchased at kiosks for 1.60 BAM or from the driver for 1.80 BAM. A 24-hour ticket costs 6.00 BAM.
