    If driving from Sarajevo, take the M17 road towards East Sarajevo. After about 10 kilometers, exit onto the R445 road towards Pale. Continue on the R445 for approximately 8 kilometers until you reach Donji Močioci. Look for signs indicating the Stećci necropolis near the village. GPS coordinates are approximately 43.9251426, 18.4411418. Parking is available near the site.

  • Public Transport

    From the center of Sarajevo, go to the main bus station (Autobuska stanica Sarajevo). Tram line 3 from Baščaršija to Tramvajski kolodvor, then walk to the bus station. Take a bus heading towards Pale or Sokolac. After about 30 minutes, get off at the Donji Močioci stop. Walk straight for about 10 minutes to reach the Stećci necropolis. A one-way ticket for public transport is 1.60 KM if purchased at a kiosk or 1.80 KM from the driver.

The stećci are made of stone monoliths, including both chest-shaped and gabled types, some with double pedestals and depictions of trees. Close to the necropolis is a Muslim cemetery with nišan tombstones dating back to the 15th century, marking a transition from medieval tombstones and indicating continued habitation in the area.
