Getting There

  • Walking

    From Baščaršija, the main square in Old Town Sarajevo, head southeast on Sarači towards the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque. After about 400 meters, you will reach the mosque. Continue straight along the street and cross the Miljacka River via the Latin Bridge. Once across, bear left and continue along the riverbank for approximately 1 kilometer. You will arrive at the History Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina located at Zmaja od Bosne 5. The journey should take about 20 minutes on foot.

  • Public Transport - Tram

    From the Old Town area, walk to the nearest tram station, which is 'Bascarsija' station. Take the tram number 3 heading towards 'Dobrinja'. After about 5 stops, get off at the 'Zmaja od Bosne' tram stop. The History Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be a short walk away, just 150 meters from the tram stop. The tram ticket costs approximately 1.60 BAM (Bosnian Convertible Mark).
