The Sarajevo Cable Car, locally known as Sarajevska žičara, offers a swift and scenic journey from the city center to the summit of Trebević Mountain. Rebuilt in 2018 after being destroyed in the 1990s war, the cable car provides panoramic views of Sarajevo and access to hiking trails, the Olympic bobsled track, and other attractions.

- Purchase tickets at the lower station, but soon they will be available at Vijećnica and the upper station.

From the Old Town (Baščaršija), the cable car's base station on Hrvatin Street in Bistrik is a short, but uphill, walk. Head east, crossing the Latin Bridge and follow the Miljacka River. The walk is approximately 15-20 minutes, but be prepared for a moderately steep incline.

The nearest public transport stop is the Vijećnica tram station, about 450m from the cable car base station. From there, walk uphill towards Hrvatin Street in Bistrik. A single tram fare is approximately 1.80 BAM.

A taxi or ride-share from the city center to the cable car base station will take approximately 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. Expect to pay around 5-8 BAM for the ride.
