    From Ilidža, take bus line 28 directly to Vrelo Bosne. The bus departs every 30 minutes and the journey takes approximately 6 minutes. The cost is approximately 1 KM. Alternatively, take a tram to the last stop in Ilidža, then walk for about 50 minutes to Vrelo Bosne.

Vrelo Bosne (Spring of the Bosna River) is a public park and protected Nature Monument featuring the source of the Bosna river, located at the foot of Mount Igman, in Ilidža, near Sarajevo. It is a popular destination known for its natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. The park consists of numerous springs and small islands connected by bridges, creating a picturesque landscape. Visitors can explore walking trails, relax by the ponds, and enjoy the scenery. Swans and ducks are common sights. The park's paths are ideal for walking and cycling, offering views of streams and waterfalls. Ilidža, where Vrelo Bosne is located, has a rich history dating back to Neolithic times. During Roman times, it was the site of Aquae Sulphurae, the largest settlement in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The area's thermal springs have been used for medicinal purposes since Roman, Ottoman, and Austro-Hungarian times. The park itself was restored in 2000 after damage sustained during the Bosnian War. Visitors can also explore the Velika Aleja (Grand Avenue), a 3.5 km tree-lined avenue dating back to the Austro-Hungarian era, which leads to the park entrance. A Roman Bridge, built between 1530 and 1550 from the stones of an original Roman bridge, is also located nearby.
