To reach Skakavac Waterfall using public transport, take city bus number 69 from Sutjeska Street in Sarajevo to the village of Nahorevo. The bus ride takes you to the last stop in Nahorevo. From there, follow the well-marked hiking trail for approximately 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) to the waterfall. The trail offers two routes: one to the top and another to the base of the waterfall. A single bus fare costs around 1.60 BAM.

You can take a taxi from Sarajevo to Nahorevo, the village closest to Skakavac Waterfall. From Nahorevo, you'll still need to hike approximately 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) to reach the waterfall. A taxi ride from Sarajevo to Nahorevo typically costs between 20 BAM and 30 BAM. Keep in mind that taxi service directly to the waterfall may be limited due to the mountainous terrain.

Driving to Skakavac Waterfall involves a drive from Sarajevo to near the waterfall, followed by a hike. From Sarajevo, drive towards Nahorevo. Once you reach the sign for Skakavac Waterfall, there are two possible routes. One route leads below the waterfall, and the other goes above it. Be aware that the road leading directly to the waterfall may be unpaved and better suited for vehicles adapted for mountain hiking. Parking is available near the trailhead. There are no toll roads on the immediate final approach. Parking is free.
