If you are driving, start from the town of Ljubuški, which is a central location in West Herzegovina Canton. Take the M6.1 road heading towards the town of Metković. As you approach Metković, follow the signs for the D8 road towards Baćina. The Baćina lakes are located just outside the town of Baćina, near the Croatian border. You will find parking available near the lakes. Please note that there might be a small parking fee, typically around 10 HRK (Croatian Kuna) for a day.

By Public Transportation
To reach Baćina lakes using public transport, take a bus from the town of Ljubuški to Metković. Buses run regularly, and the journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Upon arriving in Metković, you will need to transfer to a local bus that goes to Baćina. Make sure to check the local bus schedules, as they may vary. The bus ride from Metković to Baćina will take around 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive in Baćina, the lakes are within walking distance from the bus stop.

Combination of Car and Walking
If you are staying in a nearby area, such as Ploče, you can drive to Baćina lakes. Take the D8 road towards Baćina, and you will arrive in approximately 20 minutes. Once you park your car, you will need to walk a short distance to reach the lakes. The area is well-signposted, and you can enjoy the scenic views along the way.
