Air Transfer
The most common way to reach Camp Savuti is via a light aircraft transfer from Maun or Kasane to Savuti Airstrip. The flight takes approximately 40 minutes from either town, offering stunning views of Chobe National Park. Upon arrival at the airstrip, a representative from Camp Savuti will meet you and drive you to the camp, a journey of about 20-40 minutes. This road transfer doubles as a game drive, offering opportunities to spot wildlife en route. The cost of a one-way air transfer from Maun or Kasane to Savuti Airstrip typically ranges from $300 to $500 USD per person.

Self-Drive (4x4 Recommended)
Adventurous travelers can self-drive to Camp Savuti, but a reliable 4x4 vehicle is essential due to challenging road conditions, including deep sand tracks and seasonal floodwaters. From Kasane, take the A33 road west towards Chobe National Park. After approximately 80 kilometers, you'll reach the Savuti entrance gate. Park entry fees are payable at the gate. As of July 2025, the entrance fee for international non-residents is approximately 120 BWP (about $11 USD) per person per day. A vehicle fee of approximately 190 BWP (approximately $15 USD) per day for a 4x4 vehicle also applies. From the entrance gate, follow the Savuti road for about 20 kilometers to reach Camp Savuti, following the signs. Note that fuel is not available within the park, so ensure you have sufficient fuel for the journey.
