From Kasane, take the A33 towards the Ngoma border post. Muchenje Campsite & Cottages is approximately 60km from Kasane via the tarred road. After entering the Chobe Enclave, continue for another 7.2km; the campsite will be signposted. Note that a 4x4 vehicle may be required to further explore the park. Fuel is available in Kasane. There are no toll roads on this route.

Taxis are available in Kasane. A taxi from Kasane to Muchenje Campsite & Cottages will cost approximately $193. It is advisable to negotiate the price before starting the journey. Alternatively, pre-booked airport shuttles are available from Kasane Airport (BBK) to accommodations in the area. These can be booked online in advance.

Muchenje Campsite & Cottages, a family-owned and managed camp, is located in the Chobe Enclave, a mere 7.2km from the Ngoma entrance to Chobe National Park. This tranquil and secure property, set amidst tall acacia trees on the banks of the Chobe Floodplain, provides a perfect base for exploring the less crowded western end of the park. It's also a convenient stopover for 4x4 enthusiasts heading to Linyanti and Savuti or the Caprivi Strip in Namibia.The campsite offers ten spacious, shaded campsites, each equipped with a braai stand, 220V power points, and running water. Four separate ablution units provide basins, toilets, and solar-assisted hot water showers. For those seeking a bit more comfort, three charming self-catering cottages are available, each with a fully equipped kitchen, en-suite bathroom, and outdoor shower. The cottages also feature covered verandas with beautiful views.Guests can enjoy a refreshing dip in the swimming pool after a long day of exploring, or relax on the communal sundowner terrace while taking in the stunning Chobe sunsets. Birdwatchers will be delighted by the abundant birdlife within the grounds. The campsite also has a small shop where you can purchase basic supplies such as firewood, ice, seasonal vegetables, and meat.
