From the Main Mall, head west towards the railway tracks. Cross the tracks to enter the CBD. The Three Dikgosi Monument is a prominent landmark within the CBD, serving as a good orientation point. Walking within the CBD is free.
Public Transport
Minibuses (Kombis) are a common mode of transport in Gaborone. They operate on fixed routes and can be hailed from various points in the city. A one-way trip within the city costs approximately 0.47 EUR. Check the route signs displayed on the front of the Kombi to ensure it passes through the CBD.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Gaborone. Several taxi companies and ride-hailing apps operate in the city. A 5km taxi ride to the CBD would cost around 157 BWP. It's advisable to agree on a price with the driver before departing.
