If you are in the vicinity, Kgale Hill Public Park is accessible by foot. From nearby residential areas, head towards the main road and follow signs directing you to the park. The entrance is approximately a 15-20 minute walk from the surrounding neighborhoods. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes as some paths may be uneven.
Public Transport
From Gaborone, take a local minibus (Kombi) heading towards Tlokweng. These minibuses often pass by Kgale Hill. Ask the driver to drop you off at Kgale Hill. The cost for a Kombi ride within Gaborone is typically around 5 BWP.
Taxi/Ride-Sharing
Taxis are readily available in Gaborone. You can also use ride-hailing apps such as Gabz Ride, Mpitsa, or Kolloi Botswana. A taxi ride from the city center to Kgale Hill will cost approximately 50-70 BWP.
Car
From the center of Gaborone, head south on the A1 road. After about 10 kilometers, take the exit towards Kgale Hill. Follow the signs for Kgale Hill Public Park. Parking is available at designated parking areas near the entrance. There is no entrance fee for the hill itself.
