Botswana Mobile Safari - 10 Stars all around

We did a 8 day/ 7 night mobile safari with Mosu Safari Tours. My brother-in-law highly recommended them based on their past safari with them. The entire staff and trip was incredible. Kemy, Teby, Simon were all excellent. We saw an incredible amount of animal interactions - leopards hunting, giraffes fighting, hippos in the water and on land, baby lions nursing, hyenas and vultures feeding. The mokoro to the island was peaceful riding through the reeds. Once on the island, we did a walking safari. Talk about close encounters, an elephant came to our campsite to eat figs so we had to back up and wait for him to finish. My sons heard a lion circle their tent at night. During the safari, our tents were comfortable with a cot and mattress along with an ensuite toilet. Simon was an incredible cook. Kemy handled every situation wonderfully and professionally and I was excited to meet her in person. Highly recommended! I thought the price was excellent for a private tour for my family of four.

Awesome Botswana Adventure

I had a wonderful trip and adventure. The guides and staff of Walking Stick Travels and Tours went above and beyond to make the trip incredible. I'm glad I chose to take a guided mobil tented safari option as opposed staying in lodges because we were submersed in nature. Camping in Botswana is not for the faint of heart but the staff really took care of me, from navigating rough roads and setting up the tent in record time, to making tasty meals. I had the experience of a life time and took amazing photos to prove it.

Exceptional experience

Having been on many different styles of safari trips, this mobile safari was the best! Loved being so in touch with the natural beauty of the Okavango delta and Chobe regions. Lucas was our guide extraordinaire! Having been raised in the area, his knowledge of the landscape, plant life, animals and birds was amazing. We appreciated his commitment to the Botswana motto of "Quality over Quantity". He gave us the opportunity to see all the big animals AND spend time watching their behavior, including family group interactions at Wild Dog and Spotted Hyena dens, and hours spent watching lions and leopards. Lucas was also completely in tune with our desire to see the small things, whether it was plant life or birds. We were fascinated by a pair of Hamerkops building their huge nest. We added many new bird sightings to our lists. As a birder, he is exceptional. As for camp life...it was wonderful. Our support staff (Mosa, Mateng and Chucks) made sure we were comfortable and felt welcome every day. The chef, Mosa was a magician in his bush kitchen; the food was fresh and delicious. the fresh baked breads, muffins, cakes and even hamburger buns reminded us of going to the best neighborhood bakery every day. The new campsites were always set up beautifully when we returned from the many game drives, and the hot showers were always welcome. The mokoro and Chobe River boat rides added even more special moments to this incredible experience.
