Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Puerto Iguazú, the most convenient way to reach Iguazu Falls is by taking the Río Uruguay bus. The bus departs from the Puerto Iguazú bus terminal (Terminal de Ómnibus) at Platform 10, with services running every 15-20 minutes from 7:30 AM. Look for buses signposted 'Cataratas'. A one-way ticket costs approximately ARS 5,500. The journey takes around 25 minutes, dropping you off directly at the entrance to Iguazu National Park.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are readily available in Puerto Iguazú and offer a direct route to Iguazu Falls. A taxi from the town center to the park entrance typically costs around ARS 18,000. Negotiate the price beforehand. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes. Taxis can also be hired from the airport to the falls for roughly the same price.

  • Driving

    If driving from Puerto Iguazú, take Av. Victoria Aguirre, then RN12, followed by RN101, and finally the Access to the Falls. Parking is available at the Iguazu National Park for a daily fee: ARS 6,000 for automobiles. Be aware that there may be tolls on the highways leading to Puerto Iguazú. While there are no tolls on the immediate final approach, routes from further afield may include them.
