    From Lençóis, drive northeast on BR-242 for approximately 26 km (about 40 minutes). Look for signs indicating Morro do Pai Inácio. There is a parking area near the base of the hill. From the parking area, it's a 20-30 minute hike to the summit. Parking is available, but it can get crowded during peak season. No parking fees are charged.

    From Lençóis, take a bus to Palmeiras. Buses depart from Lençóis at 5:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 7:00 PM, and 11:00 PM. From Palmeiras, you may need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers to reach the trailhead or take a shared taxi. Ensure you ask the bus driver or locals for the closest stop to Morro do Pai Inácio. Bus tickets from Lençóis to Palmeiras cost around R$10-20. Shared taxis from Palmeiras to the trailhead cost approximately R$20 per person, assuming the car is full.

When their affair was discovered, Inácio fled to the mountain, and cornered at the summit, he jumped off with an open umbrella to escape his pursuers. Some versions say he knew the terrain and survived the fall, while others claim he used the umbrella as a parachute. Regardless, his miraculous escape gave the mountain its name: Morro do Pai Inácio (Father Ignatius' Hill).
