From Alto Paraíso de Goiás, drive south on BR-010 for approximately 15 km. Turn onto R. São Jorge and follow the signs to São Jorge village. Continue on R. São Jorge until you reach the parking area designated for Mirante da Janela. From the parking area, it is a 500m walk to the entrance. Parking fee is typically R$10-20.

The path leads through diverse terrains, including slopes, scrubland and rocky steps. Along the way, hikers pass through the 'Museu do Garimpo' a series of old mining pits that offer a glimpse into the region's past.About 1.5 km into the hike is Cachoeira do Abismo, a waterfall that is a welcome stop to cool off. Continuing on from the falls, the trail climbs to the Mirante da Janela offering stunning views. Another viewpoint sits just above the Mirante, offering even more perspectives of the surrounding landscape. The best time to visit is during the dry season (May to October) for clear skies and safer hiking conditions. Arriving early in the morning or late in the afternoon provides the best lighting for photographs.
