These stones are perfectly aligned with the specific dates of sunrise and sunset.Adnir Ramos, a local fisherman, discovered these alignments in 1988 during his fishing trips. His passion for understanding the rock art of the Santa Catarina coastline led to the creation of IMMA, dedicated to preserving and researching the area's archaeological and astrophysical aspects. Before embarking on the self-guided tour, visitors receive an explanatory leaflet about the site. The trail is well-maintained, ensuring a safe and enriching experience.
